Account and Data Deletion Request

 At Whiskey Story, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, we've outlined the process and important details below:

Steps to Delete Your Account

 

​In the Whiskey Story mobile app, navigate to "Profile" and then click the settings button on the top right side. From there, select "Account Management" and then "Delete Account". This will trigger an account deletion request, which will be processed after 30 days. If you log on at any point during the 30 days your account deletion request will be removed.​

Data Deletion Details

 

Upon receiving your account deletion request, the following data associated with your account will be permanently removed after the 30 days:

• Your profile information (including your username, email address, and profile picture)

• Your posted reviews, ratings, and comments

• Any personal preferences or settings within the app

​

Please note, some anonymized data that does not directly identify you may remain within our system for analytical purposes. Also, any posts, comments, or reviews that you've shared publicly may be retained, but they will be disassociated from your personal account and anonymized.

Retention Period

As per our data retention policy, your deletion request will be processed within 30 days. However, some data may be retained for a longer period if required by law, for legal business purposes, or as part of our backup processes.

Remember, deleting your account is a permanent action that can't be undone. If you change your mind in the future, you would need to create a new account.
